Pretoria — Some Pretoria residents are demanding that the decision to grant a permit for mining exploration in Doornpoort be revoked. They claim the process was flawed. The Mineral Resources Department has given Gemsbok Platinum; a subsidiary of JSE listed Sable Platinum prospecting rights. This will allow it to do explore whether the land is rich in vanadium, titanium, iron ore and associated minerals.
