Springfield’s old Union Station is today a visitor’s center for the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. Completed in 1896, Union Station was an active passenger station until 1971. The original clock tower was removed in 1946, but was rebuilt as part of a .5M restoration project completed in 2007.
