The first time I had been able to photograph this species. I saw quite a lot of them during January in Mapungubwe and Kruger National Park but photo opportunities have been few. They are extremely skittish and would fly off as soon as we stop our car. This was one of the hundreds feasting on the Red-billed Queleas in Mapungubwe. Photographed on the Den Staat road on 02 January 2008.
