The Minister of Women, Children and People with Disabilities, Ms. Lulu Xingwana and the Premier of Gauteng Ms Nomvula Mokonyane hosted the Opening Ceremony of the 16 Days of Activism on No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign. The event focused on addressing problems of domestic violence and the opening of a victim empowerment centre. The event took place at Saulsville Sports Arena, Atteridgeville, Tshwane. 25 November 2011.
The Theme for this year is: ‘From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Proliferation of Small Arms and their Role in Domestic Violence’.
