This is a video about the Farmers Market in Silverton, Pretoria, South Africa.
The Farmers Market is one of the places in Pretoria where you can do all your grocery shopping and it’s a lot cheaper than the regular retailers.
Firstly if you need to grab something to eat that is unique, the Farmers market has it all, from home made pastries with the most wonderful fillings to traditional South African foods like “Pap and Kaiings”, “Melkkos” and many others. If you prefer just having a coffee and enjoying the scenery, that option is available as well.
The main upside to this place in our opinion is the many fresh products that is a 100% organic. Meats, fish, poultry, veggies, cheese, spices and fresh herbs can be found everywhere! Also other interesting products to be found here is, artworks, jewellery, scarves, clothes, kombucha and kefir, and bread made with stone ground flour.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful, you will even find Indian and Chinese food at this market, or plants and flowers for your garden or house if that is more your thing.
They are open every Saturday from 5:30 until about 9:00 in the morning, our advice is get there early to not miss out on products as they sell out quickly!
