A MyPTA.co.za selected video for you:
This is a project of the Community Based Project (JCP) of the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment & Information Technology of the University of Pretoria
This project was undertaken at The Ditsong Pioneer Museum – Silverton
Lessons Learnt:
• I had the opportunity to improve photography skills
• I had the opportunity MS Excel skills as the need to use it in my course never arises
• Learnt how to do an inventory
It was a project outside my comfort zone of creativity. I wanted to challenge myself with administrative work. However, as I conducted the project I realised the overlap between the two. The history of the artefacts and how they were used, correlated to the information learnt in interior architecture course content. Editing photographs required composition knowledge.
Being the only member of my group helped me develop time management skills as I depended on myself to conduct and complete the project on time.
It was a fun project to undertake and I am happy to have made a contribution to the collection and digitalisation of South African History.
