Harvest Place has opened in Kempton Park in the Ekurhuleni Metro, Gauteng, introducing 17,250sqm of sought-after community retail convenience with an impressive profile of retailers to the landmark Riverfields Mixed-use Precinct.
Harvest Place is an upscale community centre aimed at family-focused convenience to meet the lifestyle and leisure needs of its local community beyond. It offers 70 stores anchored by Checkers, Food Lovers Market, Woolworths Food, and Westpack, with a wide range of choices from all popular categories along with unique restaurants which add charm to the shopping experience.
The Joint Venture development between Riverfields and Stonesman/Gonrinha opened on Thursday, 26 July 2022, to an enthusiastic turnout. Its first-ever shoppers were welcomed with a grand opening celebration including entertainment, gifts and take-home photobooth prints.

Among some of the better-known brands contributing to Harvest Place’s shopper appeal are Mr Price and Mr Price Home, Old Khaki, Pick n Pay Clothing, Milady’s, The Sneaker Shack, PNA, The Crazy Store, Clicks, Wellness Warehouse, Spec Savers, and Matrix Warehouse.
Harvest Place also offers great tastes from the menus of Café Estreito, Doppio Zero, Kauai, Ribs and Burgers, Simply Asia, Smack Pizza, and The Pie Crew, as well as snacks and treats from Paul’s Homemade Ice Cream, Mantelli’s Direct, Tasko Sweets and Biltong & Nut Hut. The centre is designed by Johan Marais Architecture and spans three levels, including a parking basement, ground and first floor. It offers over 1,000 parking bays, 233 covered and 780 open, all of which provide free parking for customers.
