This was a project of the Community-Based Project of the Faculty Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology of the University of Pretoria.
We worked at the Ditsong Pioneer Museum located in Silverton.
We served as indigenous engineers. Our project was to resurface the Pioneer House and whitewash it. So we used cow dung, lime and termite sand to make a mixture to resurface the chimney and other parts of the house that needed it.
Even if it was a compulsory module, we had fun and we’re grateful for the experience we had.
