SOUTHAMPTON PRIVATE ACADEMY – SCHOOL ADVISORY BOARD, ALBERTON, JOHANNESBURG.
Southampton Private Academy (SPA) is a New School registered to teach grade R-12, that opened its doors in January 2020 and currently has a population of just above 130 students. Registered with the Gauteng Department of Education in 2019 with EMIS 700401027 and currently running from grade R-9, SPA will add on one progressive grade every year until it will finally have its matric (grade 12) in 2023 i.e. next year 2021, the school will have grade 10.
SPA is located at 59 Voortrekker Road Alberton, Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, South Africa. Despite being new, the school has weathered down the effects of the lockdown due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and is growing steady fast. The school follows the CAPS curriculum and is determined to become the best low fee private school in the area.
SPA is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals, or from companies who wish to second an individual as part of their School Advisory Board. Positions on the board include:
1. President
2. Vice President
3. Secretary
4. Coordinator
5. Executive Member.
The SCHOOL ADVISORY BOARD is a newly formed entity aimed at offering innovative advice and dynamic perspectives to the school management and generating specific sums of funding for projects within the school so as to provide the community with added value and services, and to fast track and maintain the high standards of services that the school intends to offer.
These five newly created positions to serve on the Board require individuals who are experienced, motivated, persuasive, and passionate with a sense of urgency to advance SPA into a new era. The individuals need to be skilled and experienced in one of the following fields:
• Skills development and innovative curriculum enrichment,
• Students financial and career opportunities,
• ICT, Laboratory and Library facilities in schools
• Marketing, Branding and Communications.
• Funding and development,
• Strategic Planning, partnerships and talent identification to take this newly formed Institution to a successful level.
The prime focus will be to:
Develop and implement the fundraising and partnership strategy for SPA programs, including Marketing, Branding and Communications to bring visibility to SPA, for growth in all spheres of academics & extra-murals.
