There is a set of business owners in Gauteng that are chasing a certain Derek Poole for money that he allegedly owes to them.
In my mind our friend Derek Poole’s biggest sin was the method he used to sell his business marketing videos.
In his previous incarnation as Africa Seven his claims for the number of times that videos produced by his company bordered on what I termed ‘fraudulent fantasy’. Poole claimed that his few videos had been viewed more times than publishing powerhouses such as News24 and eNCA’s thousands of videos.
Derek now has another video production business on the go in A7TV (www.A7TV.org – the domain is not registered yet so we presume that he is waiting to see if we catch up to him before spending $10.00). Poole claims that A7TV is just the platform that business need to showcase products or business.
A7TV is presently operating a YouTube Channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBb7Z_oyf21N79Mucab-nHQ
According to Poole; “Making marketing videos for your business requires creativity and knowledge of human psychology. Let us take this cocktail of components to create miracles of advertising at a minimal cost. Get the power of video today with A7TV.” Maybe Derek’s knowledge of ‘human psychology’ is what drives him to continue plying his business and be accused of not acting strictly within the parameters of ethical business.
After having his last bank account closed by FNB, Mr DL Poole has opened up another account with Standard Bank.
We would advise caution in dealing with this ‘gentleman’ and associates as proven by a horde of disgruntled tourism product owners seeking to ‘Guptarise’ him.

We notice that the Africa Seven YouTube Channel – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpaAtMRSROod1uBN40JU_tA – has been rebranded as A7 Video
