We at MyPR are often asked about traffic numbers and reach attributable to press releases posted on MyPR.
Here is our stock answer:
We have over 37 000 press releases published on MyPR. If we had to give you our daily unique visitor tally then we would create the impression in your mind that that is the number of people who may have seen your one press release. We could give you our ‘hits’ daily tally and that would be around 6 times our Unique Visitor tally.
We would rather our clients use a media monitoring service – like Novus – to gauge just how widespread the reach is from a press release published on MyPR. Reach comes from MyPR, associated web sites, re-publishing web sites and social media.
And, for me, the kicker is – how believable is it to ask for visitor numbers from the person who controls the platform – the temptation to pad the numbers is great.
So, rather rely on a 3rd party monitoring service to give you an estimate.
My best Advice:
Create a specific landing page and monitor your traffic to that page in order to gauge how successful your press releases are. I look at a landing page as follows: The MyPR press release is the ‘warm-up’ and when your prospective client arrives on your landing page then he/she is more ready to take action and buy or enquire.
What if you do NOT have a Media Monitoring Service?
Then MyPR to the rescue – we developed an exclusive WordPress Plugin to allow readers AND PR Professionals to do a search on Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, LinkedIn, X and Facebook for any press release – at the bottom of each press release are handy buttons to click that will show you the ranking results for each release.
Here is an example – click on any of the services below to see their ranking in the various indexes.
Track how PR Professionals are monitoring their releases across search engines and social media.
If you would like a copy of this WordPress Plugin for free please contact MyPR.
An Example:
We Publicly deployed the Media Monitoring Plugin at 10:00 am this morning. Below are the Press Release Titles that people have checked on in the various named search engines and social media sites up until 5:02 pm today.
