Intelligence driven operations continue to yield positive successes in Tshwane District as police arrests six suspects on three separate incidents.
On the first incident, on 03 September 2026 one suspect was arrested after the members operationalised information about a suspect who had hijacked a NP300 bakkie at Mamelodi. The vehicle was found at Mahube Valley and it was being stripped. The arrested suspect was also found in possession of a pellet gun.
On the second incident also on 03 September 2026, a warrant of arrest was executed on a Pretoria Central case of bussiness robbery and possession of unlicensed firearm. During the operation, the two suspects, man and woman were found in Mamelodi and two firearms, ammunition, breaking equipments and a suspected stolen motor vehicle were recovered in their premises.
On 04 September 2026, intelligence information led Bronkhorstspruit detectives and crime prevention members to Rethabiseng about two suspects wanted for a house robbery case. Three suspects were subsequently arrested at Rethabiseng informal settlement. Two of them were found in possession unlicensed firearms.
All arrested suspects are expected to appear before court on 07 September 2026.
