Fusion Fest 2.0

6 March 2026 4:30 pm

Pretoria: The grand finale of the 2026 Mahindra Fusion Fest is ready to go, with the final preparations now in full swing at the SunBet Arena in Menlyn before tomorrow’s event.

For this, the second iteration of the Mahindra Fusion Fest, Mahindra included a nationwide talent search for artists, musicians and fashion designers to showcase their work, as well as two roadshow events in Cape Town and Durban. This arguably makes the Fusion Fest the largest and most comprehensive celebration of South African music, art and fashion ever.

For the finale, Mahindra has brought together artists from across the musical spectrum into four specially produced fusion performances. Each Fusion is further matched with its own unique fashion show and art exhibition.

The four Fusions include music from each artist and special performances that bring together all of the artists for a unique blend of music and song.

  • Rewind the Revolution: Created as a throwback to the music of a young democratic South Africa, it features Zöe Modiga, Mafikizolo, Kurt Darren and Claire Johnston of the legends Mango Groove, paired with the pop art of Shaun ‘Damn Vandal’ Oakley. The fashion for this Fusion is provided by Mzukisi Mbane of Imprint.
  • Hip Hop Most High: Perhaps the most representative of the concept of Fusion and definitely one of the most anticipated Fusion is this blend of hip hop featuring BLXKIE, Maglera Doe Boy, and the gospel of the Tshwane Gospel Choir, with art by Ndumiso Nyoni. Jacques Bam of the Bam Collective has curated the fashion show for this Fusion.
  • Femme For All: Powerful women celebrating women power with a blend of music from Karen Zoid, Nomfundo Moh, and Mariechan, alongside visual artist Inka Kendzia.
  • All About Now: Wrapping the nights performances is a contemporary amapiano showcase with Focalistic, Daliwonga, and Zee Nxumalo, featuring muralist Bushy Wopp. Thando Ntuli of Munkus is the fashion designer for this Fusion.

At the Fusion Fest, Mahindra will also host the winners of the fashion, art and music talent search competitions. They will each receive a cheque for R30 000 and have an opportunity to perform or show their designs or art in front of the thousands of fans in attendance.

Fans who arrive early will also have an opportunity to interact with Mahindra vehicles and one lucky fan who test drove a Mahindra prior to the event will be picked tomorrow night to win their very own Mahindra XUV 3XO.
